Windows 11 / 10

1. Connect the EFNOTE Drums to your PC with a micro-USB cable. (USB 2.0 cable is required)
2. Check the following screen on your PC if the Windows recognizes the EFNOTE Drums as a sound device.
   Start Menu > Settings > System > Sound > Manage sound devices > Output devices / Input devices
3. If the Windows does not recognize the EFNOTE Drums in step 2, replace the USB cable or USB hub you are using and try it again.

macOS

1. Connect the EFNOTE Drums to your Mac with a micro-USB cable. (USB 2.0 cable is required)
2. Check the following screen on your Mac if the macOS recognizes the EFNOTE Drums as a sound device.
   Apple Menu > System Preferences > Sound > Output / Input
3. If the macOS does not recognize the EFNOTE Drums in step 2, replace the USB cable or USB hub you are using and try it again.

Install the EFNOTE ASIO driver to your PC.

1. Download the ASIO Driver from the Download section on this page.
2. Follow the Install Guide to install it to your PC.

In many cases, Bluetooth MIDI connection is established by apps, not by Bluetooth setup page. If the app you are using supports Bluetooth MIDI, it also has a connecting function.

You need to use the Audio MIDI Setup app below to connect Bluetooth MIDI device.
Finder > Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup.
Window menu > Show MIDI Studio > MIDI Studio menu > Open Bluetooth Configuration.

For example, audio-technica ATH-M40x or M50x have a good sound pressure, a great balance between treble and bass, and excellent cost performance.
For enough sound pressure, choose good headphones with close to 32 ohm impedance.

Noise from a device plugged into the AUDIO IN jack may cause hiss noise.
Make sure that the Audio In volume is set to zero.
If you have an unneeded item plugged into the AUDIO IN jack, you may want to unplug it.

Since the EFNOTE sound module has high-powered headphones amplifier, you may hear some hiss noise. It depends on the type of headphones.

1. If the head tension is loose, tighten the tension bolts until the washers do not move.
2. Please replace felt beaters and edgy beaters with rounded plastic beaters.
   
3. If you need more durability, apply the acoustic bass drum patch over the included beater patch.

2. If the kick drum is tilting forward, adjust the length of the front legs so that it tilts slightly backward.

3. If the bass drum pedal can be changed the initial angle of the beater, adjust it so that it is closer to vertical.

Not used if the EFD-H14 hi-hat is included in the kit configuration.
The input jack is used for a hi-hat cymbal which works together with the pedal controller (EFD-HC3).

If the head tension is loose, adjust it to be tighter again.
If it doesn't work enough, try to set the Head-Rim Border on the Trigger screen toward H.

All drum and cymbal pads from EFNOTE can be used, up to maximum number of inputs.

EFNOTE's advanced sensing system "ELISE" is highly optimized only for EFNOTE pads, and does not perform well with other brands.
